This 2007 Dodge Magnum is quite well known in the Mopar Community. Having recently had the front fenders replaced the exterior was in need of some attention. I was contacted by the owner of the car Mike Brown who runs the club PA Modern Mopars to preform a paint correction service on the vehicle. Below are some pictures from the process.
Before Photos
Just after being dropped off prior to being washed.
Another before photo from the front.
After being thorough washed and both chemically and mechanically decon'd.
All dried off and ready to go into the correction bay.
As you can see in the photo the condition of the finish was quite poor with heavy swirling.
Another photo a bit further out.
More heavy swirling on the passenger rear quarter panel.
One last photo of the passenger front fender prior to correction.
Paint Correction Process
This is the driver side front fender showing a 50/50 of prior to correction and following the compounding process.
Same panel as above but further out. I did not take many photos while working on this as I was working on a tight time line to get this car finished.
The Finished Product
The finish turned out quite nice considering the small amount of time I had to complete the service. It was compounded and polished then finished off with a sealant for amazing gloss.
