2015 Harley Davidson Street Glide

This bike was scheduled to originally be worked on last fall, however the owner was unfortunately in an accident with the bike on the way to have us look at the bike. The bike was repaired over the winter with most of the tins being replaced and other parts being powder coated. The owner was looking to have the finish cleaned up along with one of our long term coatings applied for much easier maintenance.

Before Photos

A photo of the bike just after being dropped off.

A closer look at some swirling on the front fender prior to beginning work.

A before photo of the bike from the back.

The tops of the saddle bags were in the worst shape out of all the panels on the bike. You can see quite heavy swirling is present on the lids.

One last closer view of the back of the bike.

Correction and Coating Process

A 50/50 of the rear fender after the compounding process.

Another 50/50 shot of one of the saddle bags.

A before photo of the the other saddle bag, with heavy swirling and fine scratches present on the side.

After the compounding step the heavy swirls and fine scratches are no longer present.

Once all the paint and powder coated pieces were polished we followed up with a fine polish to further enhance the finish and bring out the gloss. At this point the bike was wiped down one last time with Eraser to prep the surface for the coating application.

This photo shows the application of the coating on the front fender.

The final product was a nice deep, dripping wet look.
