The owner of this vehicle was looking to have it cleaned up and a long term coating applied. He considered the car to be in really good condition before we started working on it. The results were quite dramatic from before to after. The car was finished off with CQuartz Professional.
Before Photos
A few before photos of the car
The car showed up fairly clean as it was put away for the winter.
Before photo
You can pretty clearly see the paint was in need of some attention, even before I washed an decon'd the car.
Swirls and RIDS on the roof.
Same on the trunk lid.
Driver side rear quarter panel.
Paint Correction Process
With the car all cleaned, it was pulled inside and our work lights were set up.
This was the results from the initial cut from our test spot. This 10+ year old paint should clean up pretty nicely.
You can see a drastic change in color even after being polished. This is the underside of the spoiler, notice how it goes from a yellowish color back to white.
Even the lenses on the lights could use some attention.
Compounded and polished to look good as new again.
Another view of just how much difference the polishing made. This is the rocker molding on the driver side, with the front being compounded and the rear still needing done (yellow looking).
The headlight were just beginning to yellow, taking away from the looks of the exterior and also effecting the light output.
These lights were not sanded, so just a solid pass with a compound and polished cleaned them up quite nicely.
The car was wiped down with Eraser prior to applying CQuartz Professional.
After Photos
A quick walk around video after being finished. The paint is now deep and glossy, certainly making this boosted beauty stand out.
